IRC runs over 130 schools across six districts of Sindh with around 600+ teachers, and 26000+ children. Some of these schools are owned by the organisation and better known as IRC Sojhro Schools while some schools are managed and operated by IRC but owned by the Government. Under the Public Private Partnership (PPP), IRC has been selected as an Education Management Organization (EMO) to manage selected Government schools that are newly constructed and have state of the art facilities.
At IRC, we realize that access to education is only part of the solution. For marginalized communities, access without quality education can be significantly damaging given the high opportunity cost of the time spent in schools.
Over the years, IRC has worked to create an education model that involves the entire community. The following salient features of IRC Sojhro Schools are based on this holistic approach and ensure a high quality of education:
Deh Bugro is a village located on the south-eastern side of Khairpur city, with 500 households and a population of 4000.Deh Bugro is a village located on the south-eastern side of Khairpur city, with 500 households and a population of 4000.
Primary School is available but quality of education is a big issue and attendance is low due to unavailability of basic needs and lack of female teachers. Female literacy was zero before IRC intervention. Major sources of income are agriculture, labor work, and government jobs. Females engage in livestock farming for income. In 2015 IRC established IRC Sojhro Elementary School, Deh Bugro.

Major sources of income are agriculture, labor work, and government jobs. Females engage in livestock farming for income. In 2006: IRC established IRC Sojhro High School Din Muhammad Rind.

Kot Diji town is the administrative capital of Taluka Kot Diji. IRC Faiz School is not a one-village/town school, rather the students come from several towns and villages in the surrounding area (up to 6km away from the school), each of which has its own Government Primary School but the teacher is not regular and parents prefer to send their children to IRC despite the extra expenses. It has a population of 8000 and 400 households.
There are Government High Schools for Boys and Girls in Kot Diji, a couple of private schools and a few Government Primary Schools. However the quality of education to-date remains poor. In 2010: IRC set up IRC Sojhro Faiz High School, Kotdiji and Heritage building donated to the school by His Highness Mir Ali Murad Talpur’s family.
