Mrs. Sadiqa Salahuddin
Mrs. Sadiqa Salahuddin is the founder and Executive Director of the IRC. Mrs. Sadiqa did her Masters in Economics from Karachi University after which she did a second Masters in Economics from Syracuse University, USA. She completed her M.S in Management from Management Education Institute, USA. Previously, she served as Director in NGO Resource Centre which aimed at capacity building and creation of an enabling policy environment for civil society. She has also done consultancies with different well known organisations like USAID, SUNGI, PCE, UNICEF, SWISS NGO, INTRAC, Government of Pakistan etc.
Mr. Moula Bux Lariq
Mr. Moula Buksh Larik holds an LLB degree & Masters degrees in Education and Muslim History. Mr Larik has served almost 31 years in Education Department as Senior Teacher, Head Master, and Deputy Director. He retired as District Education Officer in 1991. Thereafter he joined Shah Abdul Latif University in the capacity of Advisor to VC for establishing and running B.Ed. & M.Ed. classes. In 1996 under the NOWA initiative in Khairpur, Mr. Larik started work on literacy, especially for education of adult girls. Now with the collaboration of DIL, NOWA has institutionalised formal systems and is providing quality education for girls in rural Khairpur. Mr Larik is a member of Executive Committee of ESRA. He is also serving as Chairman, Advisory Committee of Red Crescent Hospital.

Mr. Bakht Birhmani
Mr. Bakht Birhmani has done Masters in Sociology from University of Sindh. He has been associated with IRC since past 8 years. He has previously worked with different local non-governmental organisations in Sindh. Currently he is working with IRC as District Manager. He has represented IRC at various local, national and international forums. His areas of interest and expertise are Child Rights, Livelihoods and Rural Development.
Mr. Muhammad Saffar Phulpoto
Mr. Muhammad Saffar Phulpoto has 12 years of experience in the development sector in the fields of Human Resources, Finance and Administration. He holds an MBA in HR and MSCIT degrees. Mr. Saffar has been associated with IRC for about 6 years. He has also worked for the USAID ED-LINKS project. HE rejoined IRC in 2013 as Manager Admin, Finance & HR, and is currently working as Administrative District Manager in IRC Khairpur office.
Ms. Naheed Akhtar
Ms. Naheed Akhtar is working as Administrative District Manager at IRC Sukkur office since 2010. She has done her Masters in Commerce from Shah Abdul Latif University, and a second Masters in Sociology.
She has received a series of trainings from LEAD Pakistan as an Associate Member in the project Leadership in Reproductive health (RH), and visited to Thailand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh during the course. Ms Naheed has also worked as EOM in FAFEN’s LTEOOP project and covered six districts to monitor and assess pre-elections, elections and post-elections of 2013. Ms. Naheed also has experience of hosting radio shows and stage compering.
Mr Naveed Khayal
Mr Naveed Khayal has done his MSc in Rural Development and MA in Sociology. He is associated with IRC since 2001 and has been involved in program planning and implementation, conducting training workshops, capacity building and monitoring of projects. Mr Naveed’s interests lie in poetry and journalism, and he has also formed the first Literary Society in Sanghar.
Noor-ul-Ain Khoso, started her professional career with IRC in 2008 in District Qamber Shahdadkot. She joined IRC as Hygiene Prompter in Water & Sanitation project supported by UNICEF in flood affected areas of District Qamber Shahdadkot and subsequently worked in different positions in the organization. Currently she is working as a District Manager. Ms Noor has done her Masters in English from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Mir’s and a second Masters in Education from the same university’s Sukkur campus.
Mr. Safdar Saeed
Mr. Safdar Saeed is part of the Senior Management Team of IRC in his capacity as Manager of the Program Support Unit. The unit provides support services to program and project teams in Communication, Documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation and most important in fundraising and proposal development.
Safdar started his career with IRC in 2004 after his graduation from the University of Karachi. His first job with IRC was in Khairpur Mirs’ in Interior Sindh where he led a team of 3 community mobilizers and teachers to impart an Adult and Youth Literacy project to 4000 illiterate females and males.
Safdar has 12 years’ experience of working with international, national and provincial organizations all over Pakistan. His skills are in proposal development, networking, communication and M&E.
Nikhat Sattar, an engineer by qualification, is a development professional, with over 30 years of diverse experience in the corporate, environment and social sectors. She was Director Programme, IUCN Pakistan and then Head of IUCN in Nepal and Pakistan. Her skills lie mainly in management, planning and programme and systems development.She was also Technical Advisor to the Social Policy Research Centre, where she contributed to annual research reports on the state of the social sector, including on issues related to terrorism and civil society, and governance in Pakistan and developed and managed a project on climate change and vulnerability.
